Calling All Milkmaids
Baby lambs means mommas with milk! After the lambs are about 2 months old, they eat enough on their own no longer need to be with their mom all the time. Lambs are separated from the ewes overnight, leaving plenty of milk to share.

A little bit of food is enough to entice Splash up on the stanchion. Her head is safely and comfortably locked into place while she munches and gets milked.
In the height of milking season, we get up to a gallon and a half a day. Stay tuned to see one of the products of all that milk- sheep's milk cheese!
