Most people want a vacation. I want a tractor

A massive load of shavings arrived today. It is unbelievable the amount of shavings we manage to use around here. Horse stalls, chicken coop, sheep stalls...so many wheelbarrow loads. Which means we have to get a lot of shavings. And the only storage at this point is a corner of the arena. So we lose valuable space. There are other places we could put the shavings, but nowhere that a truck could get to. If we had a tractor, we could move the shavings easily (in fact, just scooping them over the wall would work great). A tractor would also clear out the mud and move gravel around. We could fix the drainage on the north side of the arena and be able to use the three larger paddocks there year round. We could turn the manure pile regularly and get better compost. We could clear the blackberries and put up new fences. We could till the soil and plant the vineyard, orchard and garden. We could fertilize and lime the the pastures to get better growth. Someday....someday we will be a proper farm with a tractor.
