What's in a name?
Since launching this page a few days ago, the most common question asked is how to pronounce Eochaid and why we chose it. I updated to the about page to include a basic description plus a link to a native Irish speaker pronouncing Eochaid. Basically it means lord of the horse and when pronounced, vaguely sounds like O'Hey, the name that our family bestowed upon the farm when Garrett and I were struggling to come up with a more permanent solution. I figured the family would appreciate that I used the O'Hey that they were so excited about, but in a round about fashion that better suits Garrett and I given our mutual enjoyment of historical languages and shared experience with unusual names.
